DRONE F.A.Q.

IS SHARK BISCUIT INSURED LICENSED & QUALIFIED TO OPERATE COMMERCIALLY?

Certainly. Shark Biscuit pilots have all permissions for aerial work granted by the C.A.A. Shark Biscuit are fully insured with £5,000,000 of public liability cover.

WHAT WEATHER  CAN’T YOU FLY IN?

Strong winds and moderate to heavy rain can be problematic. Shark Biscuit will always look to find a solution if one can’t be found then we will tell you straight. Production quality without compromise is at the heart of everything Shark Biscuit do.

CAN YOU OPERATE UNDERCOVER?

Yes we can, we’re highly skilled so we can really operate in places that other companies cannot.

HOW MANY CREW MEMBERS DO YOU HAVE?

If we are just Aerial team then there will be two operators. If the drone is being used with the rest of the production team then there will be between 3 to 10 people on set.

HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO GET THE SHOTS?

We have 7 minutes of air time, as rule of thumb we generally can shoot 3 good passes of action. We have 15 batteries in stock within a charge cycle, so it is very rare that there is any downtime waiting for battery power.

CAN SHARK BISCUIT TRAVEL TO WORK OUTSIDE THE UK?

Yes, and we love doing so.

ARE DRONES BETTER THAN CRANES, JIBS, AND TRACKS?

Short answer is yes, the majority of the time and here’s why…

  • Time to set up is much quicker.
  • Less hands on deck.
  • Less obstructions, no need to worry about the surface.
  • More movement, we are able to turn full circle.
  • Drones are quicker and can move faster.
